Very frusterating they canceled our boat tour we reserved a year in advance because of boat maintenance. They only run boats 3 months out of the year, and you would think they would make sure everything is ready during the off season. However, the few hikes and walks in the area were great, the Ethnobotanical Garden had a lot of local fauna to learn about, and the Oberholtzer Trail was awesome along the marsh and woods. Staff was extremely nice and helpful in finding other things to do in the area and prioritize our time.

Nice visitor center. Had a few activities for young kids. They have a nice display of native animals and history of the area. There is also a small gift shop. You can book tours on a ferry-like boat that will take you around the lake to see a few islands and wildlife.

absolutely beautiful scenery, we throughly enjoyed walking around the trails and looking out at the lake, the raspberries that naturally grow there are absolutely delectable and the blueberries are the best i’ve ever had, they were so sweet and almost aromatic. stunning!!

Largest and most populated of the 3 Voyageur Centers, especially with very special taxidermy. Biking trail is paved and connects to here as well plus several other loops. Nice souvenirs but did not seem they had as many as the Ash River center.

This was my family's favorite of the three visitor centers. It was the biggest center with some good exhibits in it. My kids loved the little trails by it and the docks on the lake.

This was the newest visitor center at Voyageurs National Park! It has clean bathrooms, great display, and access to a beautiful, shot hike. This was also the largest bookstore in the park. It has easy access to the docks and check in for boat tours.

A few good trails to walk around and a nice video about the park. The staff is crazy nice and I like the info abt the Native Americans that they have in the building. The ethnobotanic garden they have is very very cool

Absolutely fabulous staff at this unique National Park that is FREE, but mostly accessible via waterways. Visitor center is filled with informative displays and exhibits. They also have a small video presentation about the park, played upon request. We took their Grand Boat tour and the staff onboard was amazing— fun, informative and helpful. The tour was a success in spotting several Bald Eagles (including a nest) and other birds. Highly recommend that you reserve this tour.
